Goodbye My Shaniko

Mute tongues
Rafts are

dumb language
returning

surely
elderberry

ponderosa
willow

painted hills
round corners

tell me why
noontime crowds

Mumble
into ears

petrified mud
magpie  wind

the same farm
careening

knobby ridge
hiding
